The Information Technology Department for Lawton Public Schools, is responsible for quotes, ordering, delivery, setup, upgrade, software installation, repair, networking and security of all computers within the Lawton Public School District.
Based within the Instructional Media/Technology Center, this is a mobile unit that services each Lawton Public School building located throughout the city.
Repair requests are submitted through a work order program that allows each person to check the status of repairs at any given time from within our network. Work orders are sorted according to priority, date submitted, location and equipment necessary to complete the task.
Lawton Public Schools Information Technology Department manages and maintains:
To provide technical support to include network, hardware, and software support, for all technology needs, at all Lawton Public Schools locations that enhance the district’s ability to provide a quality education for students, that prepares them as career bound citizens, and gives faculty the means to operate successfully.
Ensure that technology facilitates the purposeful integration of learning across all subject areas throughout the school sites in order to individualize learning and allow for student autonomy.
Through training and regular use of technology, staff are experts in ensuring that students are provided access to various technological tools to enhance learning opportunities and the ability to share knowledge that would otherwise be unobtainable.
